These Terms & Services explain how you may use the Wechathost website at wechathost.com and how a consulting engagement, if you later choose one, is meant to work. Please read them with the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Last updated: October 3, 2026.
1. Who we are
Wechathost is a consulting practice focused on personal finance, investment understanding, and business finance. The public face of the practice is this website. We help people and companies describe a money decision clearly, compare workable paths, and leave with a written plan they can actually use.
We publish educational notes, project stories, and descriptions of how an engagement is shaped. Those materials are for general reading. They are not tailored to you until, and unless, a separate written scope is accepted by both sides.
2. The website is not an engagement
Visiting pages, reading articles, downloading a prep note, or completing a form does not make you a client. It does not create a duty of care, a fiduciary duty, or an agreement to advise you. A client relationship begins only when Wechathost and you both accept a written scope that names the work, the fee, and what is outside the work.
Until that happens, you are responsible for your own decisions. Please do not delay a time-sensitive choice because you have read a page here or typed into a form.
3. What our consulting is, and is not
When a project is agreed, the work is consulting and education applied to your facts. Typical subjects include household spending, cash buffers, the way an investment mix is explained, retirement income maps, owner pay, hiring pace, and the overlap between a person’s household and their company.
Unless a written scope says otherwise, the work is not:
- a promise to manage accounts, place trades, or take custody of money;
- legal advice, tax return preparation, or an audit;
- a credit decision, a loan, or an introduction that obliges any lender;
- a valuation that a third party must accept;
- emergency support, and not a substitute for regulated help where your situation requires it.
If your question belongs with a lawyer, a tax specialist, an accountant, or a regulated portfolio manager, we will say so. You remain responsible for hiring those people and for the filings and decisions that are theirs to make.
4. No promises about results
Markets move, businesses stall, health changes, and families change their minds. We do not promise a rate of return, a funding outcome, a tax result, or a particular net worth. Examples and client notes on this site are illustrations of how a project felt to that client. They are not a forecast for you.
Any figure you see, including years in practice or the number of plans shaped, describes the practice in general. It is not a guarantee that your project will feel the same or finish on the same timeline.
5. Using the site
You may read the pages, share links to them, and download the prep notes for your own personal or internal business use. You may not copy the site’s design, text, or logo into another product, scrape the site in bulk, or present our words as your own advice to someone else.
You agree not to misuse the site. That includes trying to break it, probe it for weaknesses, upload harmful code, or use any form to send unlawful, harassing, or deceptive content. You may not use the site if you are not able to enter an ordinary contract for consulting in the place where you live.
6. Forms on this website
Contact, comment, subscribe, and unsubscribe forms are checked on your device. They confirm that a name, an email, or a message looks complete. They do not transmit your entry to a Wechathost server, and they do not create a message in an inbox. The line you see after a valid form — “Thank You! one of our representative will contact you” — is a confirmation that the check passed. It is not evidence that a person has received your note.
Because of that, do not type account numbers, passwords, government identity numbers, card numbers, or copies of identity documents into any form. If you need to share documents for a real project, wait until a scope exists and a separate, agreed channel is named in that scope.
7. Fees, scope, and changes
Where a project is offered, the fee is a fixed project fee unless the scope says otherwise. You will see what is included, what is not, and when the work is meant to finish. We do not start the deep work on a vague verbal request.
If new facts appear, or you ask for a wider question, we pause and write a change. You do not have to accept the change. We do not have to continue on the old fee if the question is no longer the one we priced. Either side may stop a project that has not been finished, and the scope will say how a partial fee is handled.
Invoices, if a project exists, are part of that scope. This website does not take payments.
8. Your responsibilities
Advice is only as sound as the facts. In any future engagement you agree to provide information that is true, complete in the ways we ask, and updated if it changes. You agree to tell us about another owner, a partner, or a co-signer who must live with the result. We will not help you hide a material fact from that person.
You agree to make your own decision. We can recommend a path. You choose whether to walk it, including whether to buy, sell, hire, borrow, or wait.
9. Intellectual property
The Wechathost name, logo, page design, articles, project write-ups, and prep notes are owned by Wechathost or used with permission. You receive a limited, revocable right to view them and to download a prep note for your own use. You do not receive ownership of the method, the text, or the brand.
If a written project produces a plan for you, you may use that plan inside your household or your company. You may not resell it or present it as a product for other clients.
10. Third-party links and sharing
Pages may link to places where you can share a public URL. Those services are run by other people. Their terms and privacy practices apply once you leave this site. A link is not an endorsement of a product, a platform, or a piece of financial advice.
We do not control comments that a sharing site might attach to a link, and we do not control whether a shared preview looks the way you expect.
11. Ideas you send us
Please do not send confidential business plans or unsolicited inventions through the website. Anything you type into a public form should be something you are comfortable typing into a page that does not create a private file. If we later work together, confidentiality will be handled in the written scope, not by this paragraph alone.
12. Disclaimers
The site is provided as it stands. Articles can become incomplete as rules, prices, and products change. We may update or remove a page without notice. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular decision, and uninterrupted availability.
Nothing on the site is an offer to sell a security, a solicitation to buy a security, or a recommendation that is personal to you. Investment examples are educational. Past client experiences are not a reliable guide to future experiences.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Wechathost and the people who write for the site are not liable for lost profits, lost savings, lost data, business interruption, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, your reliance on an article, or a form confirmation.
Where a liability cannot be excluded, and where a project contract does not set a different cap, our total liability related to the website is limited to the amount you paid us specifically for the website in the three months before the claim. If you paid nothing, that cap is zero. A separate project contract may set its own cap for that project, and that contract controls the project.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such a limit would be unlawful.
14. Indemnity
You agree to cover Wechathost against claims, losses, and reasonable costs that come from your misuse of the site, from information you provide that is false, or from your decision to rely on general pages as if they were personal advice. This does not shift responsibility for our own fraud or for a duty we cannot legally disclaim.
15. Suspension
We may refuse, pause, or end access to the site if we believe these terms are being broken or if the site is being used in a way that could harm other readers. We may also withdraw a page that we no longer stand behind.
16. Notes by email
The subscribe and unsubscribe pages describe a mailing practice. On this particular website those forms do not connect to a live list. If a live list is offered in the future, we will say how often notes are sent, what they contain, and how to leave. Leaving a list will never be a condition of reading the public pages. You can read the unsubscribe page for the request we ask you to make.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the practice or the website changes. The date at the top will change when we do. The version you see when you use the site is the version that applies to that use. A project that already has a signed scope keeps the commercial terms in that scope, even if this page later changes.
18. How to reach us
We do not publish a telephone number or a street address on this website. Questions about these terms can be written through the contact form. Please remember that the form is validated in your browser and is not delivered to an inbox from this static site. For a matter that needs a response from a person, wait for a scoped engagement and the channel named there.
If a dispute arises about the website and it cannot be settled by a direct conversation, it should be handled by the courts and the laws that apply where Wechathost is established, except where a consumer protection rule in your place of residence says you cannot be asked to waive it. Those mandatory rights stay with you.
